Who is Grant Nash?
Grant Nash is the wine lovechild of long time friends Sam and Caroline Martin, and Bryn and Sophie Richards.

Sam, Caroline and Sophie all hail from Adelaide and therefore wine is in their blood. Sam and Sophie both studied at the legendary Roseworthy Agricultural College. Upon graduating they parted ways; both travelling and working vintages around the world.
Kiwi born, English bred and now a fair dinkum Aussie, Bryn studied winemaking at Lincoln University, NZ, graduating in 1995. He then followed the grape harvest around the globe until he met Sophie in WA in 1998.
Bryn and Sophie continued the nomadic vintage life before deciding to settle down in McLaren Vale. They brought home a rather large souvenir from their travels, stuffed full with bottles of vino, a 20 foot long and 6 foot wide 1966 Cadillac Sedan de Ville.
Sophie and Sam reunited at Hardys, in 2003, working in the Sales and Marketing teams. Footloose and fancy free, the four of them spent their weekends touring the many cellar doors of beautiful McLaren Vale in the “Caddy”.

These days were filled with fun and laughter and would usually involve a long lunch at the Star of Greece, Victory Hotel or the Salopian Inn. Over the course of these drives in the Caddy and countless long lunches they always dreamt of making a wine together and thus the idea of Grant Nash was born.
Fast forward twenty years, with two young families and a bunch of different wine experiences under their belts, they finally decided to take the plunge and made their first wines together in 2022.
The focus is on fresh, vibrant McLaren Vale Grenache blends made with a light touch to let the fruit shine.
Grant Nash’s grapes are sourced from some of McLaren Vale’s best vineyard blocks. The wines are gently made with minimal additions, no fining agents are used and the reds are unfiltered. -
